Lacy Bryant is a Charleston-based educator, instructional specialist, curriculum designer, innovation coach, and speaker. She is passionate about changing how students and teachers approach learning in the 21st century. She taught middle school math and history before becoming an Innovation Coach with Charleston County School District’s Department of Innovation & Digital Learning, in Charleston, South Carolina. As an innovation coach, she supported teachers at several schools as they incorporated Student Agency, Blended Learning, 21st Century Thinking Skills, and Personalized Learning to become risk takers and innovators in their 1:1 classrooms. Currently, Lacy is an Instructional Specialist for Social Studies teachers in CCSD. She uses her skills, experience, and expertise to help Social Studies teachers teach, innovate, and lead students to become productive 21st century citizens.
Lacy is a Google Certified Educator, Google Summit Presenter, Apple Certified Teacher, Flipgrid Certified Educator, EdPuzzle Certified Educator, Breakout EDU Certified Trainer, Common Sense Media Certified Educator, and a Certified Big Historian. She uses her skills to support teachers and students in a variety of tech and instructional topics by proving job-embedded training where she helps teachers plan, build, learn, explore, teach, and reflect on their experiences. Lacy is an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston and has designed and facilitated several graduate level courses and professional development classes for CCSD. She is also the cohost of Two Tech Coaches & A Microphone, the Technology and Teaching podcast, a co-author of the Blog, Edutechnically Speaking, and the blogger for Catch Me Crafting. |
